Miss Representation
Miss Representation is one of my favourite documentaries because it not only sends out a good message, it also teaches a life lesson that we would take with us. I have watched this documentary before and after watching it, I felt like I have been wronged all along. Since childhood, my actions and my thoughts have always been influenced by media and I have not even noticed. I feel like these issues that Miss Representation brings is important and should be known by everyone. A few weeks ago, we had a workshop about teen safety. The woman who was leading the workshop had taught us similar issues that Miss Representation represented. I think that there should be a class, similar to the workshop, in all schools that would teach us about equality, feminism, racism, and all of these important ideas that we seem to overlook and neglect in our society. We think we know the definition of these terms but we don't really know the negative impact it has on us. It will take a long time for women to be treated equally, but I hope that we all realize that we are not respecting each other and we are not able to move forward in doing so.

I love your idea about having a separate class that teaches us all about important issues in our world, it would be a useful class. It should be for everyone, including males.
